·         Medicines: Antibiotics can be very harsh on the stomach of the baby which may result in causing loose motions. As a part of general healthcare, doctors always prescribe medicines to arrest loose motion in babies along with antibiotics.
·         Mouthing the objects: This is seen to be major and the most common reason behind this problem in babies. The objects like toys and other things lying on the floor of the house can have germs which may infect the babies.
·         The upset tummy problem: if the tummy of the baby is upset and then loose motions can occur. The stomach of the baby may become upset due to many foods to which the baby can be allergic to.
·         An intake of infected food or water: These are the big causes of trouble for the child so make sure your baby is having fresh food and water.
·         Milk or milk foods in excessive quantities: This is a potential problem for the stomach of the baby because laxatives can be diarrhoea in nature.

·         Yoghurt and curd which are very easy on the gut of the baby
·         Rice water is also seen to be very effective 
·         Apple sauce cures the stomach very fast
·         Toasts can be also helpful in such cases
·         Porridge made from arrow root powder
·         If it’s possible give your baby some black tea which is mixed with lemon
